 And the other thing I learned there is no one actually cares about grammar. I found many people speaking in a wrong grammar. But I was able to understand them even though their English was not in a sentence but more like group of words. We communicated quite well. Language is not about getting knowledge but a communication tool.

The people I met at the conference also gave me a lot of information in various ways. Because people there, had similar interests. Some had more experience in volunteer jobs, some in internship training or the other in studying abroad. There information helped me a lot on plaining and preparing for my future.

So I really recommend you guys to try interpreting volunteer job. Not only interpreting experience you get but also some lessons and methods in learning English. Then various information comes as bonus!

 

Secondly, I got accepted as a member of Global Guemjeng Supporters

.Guemjeng-gu is selected as a city of Global Citizenship Education. As our society becomes more international, we have to prepare for it. There are many foreign people who is living in Guemjeng-gu. So we have to find way to live together and help them. And we, the Global Geumjeng supporters will dealing with this issues. Our work is to educate citizens global mind and help foreigners to set in to our city harmoniously.

So we did some Education program at Geumjeng mountain historical festival. There wasn’t many people who really cares about Global citizenship. But as we knew it will be the important issue in future society so we tried our best to tell citizens how important it is to know and care about Global citizenship. I realized our society was way more globalized than I thought. And learned what real Global mind is!  

 

As this Supporters program just get started there are some many events that are coming up such as culture exchange program. Global leadership workshop and international work camp. I’m expected to meet many foreign people and get along with them. I can’t wait to see them.

 

.  so I recommend you to try as many programs or events as you can so that you can learn global mind and practice your English through it.

 As always our professor Mr. park says, we need to know how to use English in order to make a living!.
